Safety & Content Controls

How to set the tone of your world, and what each safety level actually allows.

What are the safety levels?

Two. Safe keeps stories family-friendly: no romance beyond friendship, only cartoonish violence, no swearing. Moderate, the default and the highest level, is rated 12+: action, peril, fantasy combat, and darker themes like loss or betrayal, with mild language. At both levels, MythSmith never writes sexual content of any kind (romance goes no further than a kiss), nudity, sexual violence, gore or torture, strong swearing or slurs, drug use, self-harm, or real-world instructions for crimes, weapons, or drugs. What you type is checked too: a turn that crosses these lines is stopped, and you aren't charged for it.

What happened to the Mature level?

It was removed. If you had it on, you're now on Moderate — nothing to change on your side.

What happened to the Mature and Adult scenario ratings?

They were removed when MythSmith moved to a 12+ rating. Scenarios that had them are now rated Teen, and they play within the same 12+ limits as every other story.

What can scene art show?

Scene art never shows nudity, sexual content, or graphic gore. Each image request is checked before it's made, and each finished image is checked before you see it. If one is refused, you're told why and nothing is charged.

What is Parental Lock?

A 4-digit PIN that locks your safety settings. While it's on, safety settings can be made stricter but never looser, and discovery filters and publishing limits follow suit; the PIN is required to unlock everything. Existing stories stay available.

Where do I change the safety level?

In Settings → Safety & Privacy. It can be changed any time, including mid-story.

Does the safety level apply per-story or account-wide?

Account-wide: change it in one place and it applies everywhere. In a multiplayer adventure, the host's level applies to everyone in the game.

Can I report content that violates the guidelines regardless of the safety level I chose?

Yes — the safety level controls what the AI generates for you; it doesn't exempt content from community guidelines once it's shared publicly. Report anything that crosses the line, and it gets reviewed.
