Why MythSmith exists
A short version of what we're building, and why the story stays yours to write.
Every story tool eventually boxes you in.
Branching dialogue runs out of branches. A pre-written quest runs out of quest. MythSmith is built around a different bet: a storyteller that can actually reason about what you just did — not just match it to a script — can keep a world open far past the first few hours.
The AI is the game master, not the writer.
Nothing past your opening line is pre-written. You describe what your character does; MythSmith decides how the world answers, keeps track of what you've already changed, and holds the line on the facts you've pinned down with story cards. It plays closer to a tabletop session than a scripted RPG.
Your world, your rules.
Tone and safety controls exist because the same engine should be able to run a cozy bedtime story or a grim horror campaign — whichever one you actually want tonight.
